or is it already baked into the whole Cubase cpu cake?
I'm starting to rediscover the Cubase channel strip and If it's all the same I may use it more for channels than a bunch of cpu eating channel strips.
Are some of you of the opinion that it might be a bit underrated and is generally up to the task?
Does Cubase 10 channel strip use additional cpu?

depend on how many modules you are using. the eq is very light on the CPU.. but if you're using eq + compression and saturation than it will use more. However, it's a cpu efficient channel strip in my opinion.
I like it a lot. I think it's sounds great, very clear sound, and I don't feel any need to use something else most of the time.

Thanks for your input alonl6. That's what I was looking for. I'm trying to do some economical trade-offs with the strips so I can use some of my higher cpu plugins like my Acoustica Audio stuff and some Amp sims that are pretty hungry.alonl6 wrote: Sun Dec 23, 2018 5:15 pm depend on how many modules you are using. the eq is very light on the CPU.. but if you're using eq + compression and saturation than it will use more.
