Sonatina Orchestra reverb

With VST plugin, Sonatina Orchestra, when I try to lower the amount of
reverb on an instrument, such as violin, on the VST, the sound cuts in and out in a very
weird way. Has anyone else had this problem? What is the trick here? I may need
to get rid of reverb entirely on an instrument, such as bass. Please advise. Thanks.
