having a zoom problem

i was watching a w9 tutorial on adding and editing audio and i noticed bill showed how if you moved the cursor up towards the top of the program the cursor becomes like a bold cross and you can expand your tracks minedoes'nt do yhat, it just remains a little hand. where can i go to change this behavior?

Try moving your cursor to the point where the playback cursor is on the bar line.

If that doesn't do it, could you point us at the video and let us know what time it happens?

works perfectly! thank you. i didn't know you had to be by the cursor. i thought it was like ableton live's .
