Scale Quantize and Midi Step question.

Hi, does waveform have scale quantize in the pianoroll like the scale quantize feature in logic?
I also have a question regarding Midi Step.. So I set the grid to 1beat in Midi step to enter my kick a 1/4 note apart from each other, but when I switched 1/16 to enter my hihats it changed the grid and affected the placement of the kick. Is there a way to changed the grid size in midi step without affecting the placement of it's content? Thanks
