Linux users (yes, the full crowd of them !) : please note that there's a fix in the linvst source code since yesterday regarding running Melda plugins in Linux (specifically, Bitwig) in (X)Ubuntu 18.04 Long Term Support. It works with the latest wine-staging at the time of this writing

The source code can easily be compiled once the wine-staging-dev package is installed (using Synaptic for instance) and the pluginterfaces/ folder from the Steinberg VST SDK is copied in the main linvst source folder.

For 64-bit only support:

make clean
make
make install

Ubuntu wine-staging install instructions is at:

https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu

Be sure to have a clean slate before proceeding. Use 'dpkg --purge' liberally to get rid of any previous wine install.

Once wine-staging is installed, Synaptic can be used to install the wine-staging-dev package.

linvst github is at:

The free Steinberg SDK can be obtained from:

https://www.steinberg.net/en/company/developers.html

Cheers.
