FR:use MDrummer samples in MDrumEnhanser

You can use any sample you like.
But the ones included in MDrumEnhancer are selected because they work well with the processing.
If MDrummer samples were to be added, the plugin would not work as well and be a bit hit and miss.

I find the ones supplied "ok," but somewhat limited after extensive use. Perhaps the solution would be to extend the selection of those that "work well."...just a thought.../s~

OK, agreed. There could be a larger selection. Could you let me know which ones you feel work well and would be a welcome addition please. Then maybe we could get them added.
The problem is that we can't add them all, as a lot wouldn't work well and also it would make the data size huge!

I have found some non-Melda ones that I've used in the past, but I don't currently have a license for MD. (soon!) I was thinking that having a license for MDE could possibly "unlock" those in MD, in which case the "size" really doesn't matter.../s~

I've been doing/done the audio to midi approach. Depending on the conversion tool, the results can be usable, but almost always require a lot of "fixing" to get useful results. It would be nice if MDE had midi-out since it has the best/most workable parameters I've found so far. I think I may have done an FR sometime in the past.../s~

Remember this is not a typical drum replacer. Drum replacers have many drawbacks, which is why MDrumEnhancer uses a different method by sort of resynthesising the audio.

Yes, that's exactly my experience, which is why I've shifted all my current work/projects to MDE. When I first started using the typical "source to midi to sample" solutions, it seemed magical. Now, not so much. (especially when going back and listening to some of that stuff...sigh...)...and finding a much wider pallet would be wonderful.../s~

The Studio 2018 stuff is all multisamples in proprietary format (as is the Studio 2008 and Studio 2009 stuff).steve2KVR wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 6:31 pm ...ok, I'm back...how do I extract the samples from "Studio2018.MDrummerPack"?
