Will their ever be a way to create flavored compressors/Limiters/Eqs/distortion units from my favorite analog gear?

MTurboComp and MTurboCompLE are designed to emulate the characteristics of many famous compressors. There is a video for MTurboComp on the product page: www.meldaproduction.com/MTurboComp
MTurboEQ is, according to the product page, "inspired by most of the well-known classic hardware."

Right...but what about sampling an impulse response or getting close to a piece of gear not covered?

Please don't take this the wrong way: How many analogue products can you identify by sound alone? What is your accuracy rate?
The reason that I am asking is that, should you have an extremely accurate ability, you should be able to write out the features that make analogue gear #3 stand out and then use that information to recreate it yourself or as a guide for someone else to do it.
I don't really understand why you would want the recreations when you could create new and unique ones in MXXX.
But that is coming from someone who has made a habit of avoiding 'name brand' equipment for most of my musical life.

I am sorry underthroat, but you are being pretty annoying to me. You come to this forum +- every week asking the same question over and over again and letting people waste their time on their answers over and over again. Please stop

Convolution (using impulse responses) only works to "mimic" linear processes. EQ is a linear process. Compression, distortion, and a whole lot of others are non-linear and therefore not a candidate for straightforward convolution.Underoath77 wrote: Fri Feb 15, 2019 2:48 am Right...but what about sampling an impulse response or getting close to a piece of gear not covered?

If you don't like my questions...ignore em. And I'm waiting for someone to answer correctly as these are valid questions. Melda is the most innovative and detailed plugin company on earth. Just wanna help with the vision. If I have to finance him I will as well.

Same here. And only posting in Melda's forum, nowhere else.Fourstepper wrote: Fri Feb 15, 2019 3:21 pm I am sorry underthroat, but you are being pretty annoying to me.
That reminds me... have a screenshot stored somewhere documenting a similar 'fun fact'.

TurboEQ has pretty much explicitly several models inspired from analog gear.
OTOH, there are at least four companies that are producing a lot of specific hardware-derived plugins. Why go in the same vein again when there's a lot more creative opportunities ? I certainly wouldn't. Hey, let's spend 6 months and more in recreating yet another replica of a 1176 compressor with the same exact knobs and panel colour ... terrific business plan.

Well, DAWs are not locked to using plugins of only one company.Underoath77 wrote: Fri Feb 15, 2019 11:28 pm If you don't like my questions...ignore em. I suppose I underestimated the direction the company would be taking as the one stop for VSTs...i mean Msoundfactory sounds promising as he'll. But I see limitations in other regards. And I am very impressed with the Turbo series. But a Compressor Creator or Amp creator or any of the ridiculous list of items I've suggested could at least be considered and not condoned immediately as an annoyance.. if anything I'm thinking outside the box and nobody asked you to reply to my comments or posts?

You don't want me to elaborate on this. For sure.
