Sometimes I can't help myself (if all my gear is elsewhere, for example) and I'm clicking around on the onscreen MIDI keyboard. I finally realized what bugged me about that thing: the click points for the keys are counterintuitive.

Clicking the blue spot will play D4 as expected. Clicking the red spot will play C#4, and the green one, D#4. I can see why that happens (click areas are vertical strips, not shaped to their keys), I just find it really, really confusing. I'd be in favor of changing that behavior to "What you click is what you get" so that all three spots I painted above play D4.

Two other suggestions which I've plopped into the Mulab 8 beta thread but which are probably better included here for visibility:

1. A project-wide "MIDI Mappings Explorer" that outlines all MIDI mappings in the entire project so that I can check at a single glance which objects have MIDI mappings attached; ie, a central list that I can go back to at any point and see what MIDI controls will be active when I focus a specific rack/track/...

2. An annotation tool for the modular editor, inspired by spreadsheet software like MS Excel, where I can add a pop-up note to cells to hold some additional information. I'm routinely building some quite technical things in the modular editor and it would be cool to have notes outlining what each element does. (I think that module names are not sufficient for that purpose.)

In the next M8.0.51 this has been finetuned.
Ie. in all 3 cases you've pointed M8.0.51 will play D4.
