Hello,

Just downloaded 3.053 and when opening on ableton it says ... error loading skin sylenth 3.0this version requires v3000 then another window pops up saying error loading classic skin. You are trying to load an incompatible skin v3045.

What do i do

Post

tryed unistalling but wont let me as need to get onto sylenth for deactivation but there is no skin

scrap that... figured it out...

seems sylenth kept the old .dll from the previous version as well as the new .dll deleting the old one sorted it out

Yes. If there's anyone else having this problem:

You've installed v3.053, but you're still running v3.041 (or older). Which means you have multitple installations of Sylenth1 in your VST folders.
Uninstall Sylenth1, then search all your VST folders for leftover files named Sylenth1.dll and delete them all. Then start your DAW to make sure Sylenth1 is gone. If not, go back to searching and deleting again until it's gone.

After that re-install the latest version.

Most likely you made a backup copy of the old version of Sylenth1 in a subfolder of your VST or Components folder. Your DAW will load any version it finds from any subfolder of those directories, so it will load the old version, not the new one. Just delete the old one to fix the problem.

Found the issue - previous version was in a subfolder within my VST directory.
