FR: default chord length = time signature

When you click on the plus sign, to add a chord, you get a chord that is four beats long. This is fine if you're working in 4/4 time but if you do a song in 3/4, you have to adjust the length everytime you add a chord.
Would it be too difficult to let the program check what time signature you're in an add chords that are one bar long in that time signature?
