Yeh if only it supported more DAWs with off-line rendering than just ProTools. I find that very frustrating.claudedefaren wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 4:54 pmThey've actually already integrated them into one of their products: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/dialogue-match.htmlvitocorleone123 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2020 10:32 pm I’d see more of an integration with Ozone, for example, with a different UI. They wouldn’t purchase such quality reverb algorithms and then abandon those.

Sadly it doesn't do a very good job. It's ok at emulating large spaces, but deeply terrible at small ones. I'm surprised it got released in its current version. Reverb emulation - feed it some audio, the gadget detects what kind of space / reverb is used and then emulates it - it still a holy grail. I hope they get there, they probably will in time.claudedefaren wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 4:54 pmThey've actually already integrated them into one of their products: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/dialogue-match.html

Well, if they can detect reverb to well enough to remove it to some degree with De-Reverb, perhaps they can use the same tech to emulate it?!? It’s an interesting idea you have.noiseboyuk wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 5:22 pmSadly it doesn't do a very good job. It's ok at emulating large spaces, but deeply terrible at small ones. By the way, RX8 just dropped for those who aren’t aware.

I usually skip one iteration of RX before upgrading. They want $299 to upgrade from RX7 Advanced to RX8 Advanced, but I don't see anything new there that I would use (and I use RX every day). I'll probably wait for RX9.

I use RX7 Advanced to remove the worst pops and clicks when digitizing vinyl.
There isn't any improvements in RX8 Advanced for that, I think.
That's okay though, RX7 Advanced is superb as it is.

I'll actually do an evaluation, figure out what is new what is improved, what I would actually use, put my own personal price tag on them all, add it together and if it works out to be more than what they're asking, then I'd consider buying it. Usually I will wait for a sale, though.Hermetech Mastering wrote: ↑Fri Sep 04, 2020 4:20 pm I usually skip one iteration of RX before upgrading. If I don't feel it'd worth it, I'll wait until the following year. I've yet to do my evaluations on this one though.
