I was racking my brain, trying to figure out a discrepancy in the way that CC values chase back to their most recent value, when you skip around in a MIDI track. Then I finally realized that they do chase back, but only if you stay within the same MIDI clip. If the CC change occurred in a previous MIDI clip and I skip to the next clip, the knobs don't chase back when I start playback. As soon as I merged the two clips together, the CCs chased back as expected.
Is this intentional? I was confused and frustrated for a while, until I finally figured out what's going on. This is in Waveform 9 on Win64.
Inconsistent CC chase-back behavior

I always wondered why that seemed to work sometimes and not others, but never worked it out.

Just so I understand the issue, here is an example:
Clip 1: sets CC to value 5
Clip 2: sets CC to value 10
Clip 3: doesn't set CC
If you just to clip 1 or 2 it works as expected? If you jump to clip 3 it, the midi cc value doesn't change?

If you put the cursor inside clip 2, but before the point where you set the value to 10, Waveform doesn't set the value to 5 when you press play. If you merge clips 1 and 2, Waveform sets it to 5 on playback.
