It could be useful to have some kind of 'global preset manager'. So instead of going through the DAW's list of plugins and choosing a Melda plugin amongst all that are available, the 'MPresetManager' would offer a one step approach to getting both a plugin and preset added to a track. It would offer a plugin/preset based approach to choosing the right processing perhaps merely by finding out all the installed plugins and their presets and offering a structured list to choose from. A bit like in MXXX, but 'free form' in the sense that it deals directly with the installed plugins and their presets and not within the context of another plugin (MXXX).
And then it could also offer a way to categorize presets as 'favorites'. Even adding comments to each favorite. Or adding qualitative categories based on tags (ambient, soft, medium, aggressive, harsh, etc..) that the user could modify.
In short a centralized approach could make it possible to add several user-friendly options to preset management.
It could be quite useful, no ?
Cheers.

That's very very difficult... the DAW is supposed to do that I'm afraid.
