can loops change key automatically to project key?

if my project is in the key of g and i drag a loop into waveform, does it automatically change the key? is this possible if not?

It would need to know what the original key was. Whether or not that is possible would likely depend on the file format of the loop.

Yeah it unfortunately depends on the meta data in the loop, any acidized or rex files are almost certainly going to contain that info but wav files depend on whether or not the person who made the loop saved the bpm and key in the data or not.

I would recommend just to use Loopcloud for any loops that weren't created within Waveform because it's just going to make ur workflow so much easier and faster
