Newb - Tracktion 7 - Plugins problem

I have been searching the forum, but not really finding an answer (that I understand anyway...)

I have Tracktion7 64bit, on Win7 64bit. I usually make sure and download 64bit plugins as well, but SO many of them will not "load properly" into Tracktion. I am missing 1/3-1/2 of the plugins I have available.

I am able to use these same plugins, from the same folder location, in Ableton Live Lite, so I KNOW they are there and work.

Any suggestions? It's really frustrating, because I am really enjoying Tracktion7!

If it's an older plugin, it may not specify; and will probably be 32-bit?
Can you provide some examples of plugins that don't work ?

(or... install the 32-bit tracktion 7 and see if they work there...)

Oh, and you DO know where your plugins are installing to?

You have to scan for plugins to get them included; and the path to them is included in the scan list ?

Some of these may be 32 bit, Firebird is 64bit. I do know the directory where they live and have scanned it properly.

I found a couple of VSTs(64bit) that didn't work, and they also had 64bit VST3 available, so I tried those and they worked. I guess it's just hit-and-miss.
