BR - Rendering Tiny Audio Clips

I have problems in T when i'm working with very small audio clips (eg. i'm using pitched up individual drum hits to create tiny little trebly clicks).

The most serious problem is that when i render a track that contains tiny clips like these, the resultant audio often contains distorted spikes of clipped noise (which certainly weren't there before rendering :) ).

The other problem i've found, is that when i've selected a sequence of tiny audio clips, and drag them to change their position on the timeline, some of the clips, although selected, get left behind. (this one is harder to recreate)

Anyone else have these problems?

You can send an e-mail to jules with these clips attached.

Its the best way to have this kind of thing looked at.

(i've just emailed jules explaining the problem)

just a hunch,
it's a long time i worked with T. but I remember i always had problems with normalizing files (32 bit i thought).
When you export the files they are also normaized if this is checked in the normalize dialogue.

Perhaps you can try to disable that and see if you get a non corrupted export.

hi kagemusha: if you do it via the render track route, there isn't a 'normalize' option.

sorry, I was thinking about audio export. It's a time ago I worked with tracktion.

just mentioned it because because i had issues with 32bit files and normalizing.

I remember that happening to me as well at one point... I was making very short clicky segments which kinda freaked out when rendered. Me thinks it's a bug too...
