End of edit getting 'scrunched'

I'm in Tracktion 5, with only 3.5 minute song, but having made space in the middle, by moving bunches of clips to the right, I've found, at least twice now, that the end is getting scrunched, i.e. about 4 bars layered on top of the next four like tectonic plates moving. That's happened in two places in the latest edit. So, did I not 'make space' at the end of the edit by actually recording those new bars, rather than just pushing the clips to the right? Or is there a bug with the Alt-drag method of selecting a bunch of clips, where it has retained some from previous moves? I dunno. Maybe Tracktion 6 or 7 would solve this...Any help appreciated!

Now I'm getting one edit that won't export. Starting to think the problems stem from when I moved the whole project from one drive to another in the computer.

ah, ok. A stray 6-8 time signature caused that!
