Waveform 10.1 Plugin images not working

I recently upgraded from Waveform 8.3 OEM to 10.1 and the plugin images are not updating correctly. The options under settings to Scan for plugin thumbnails runs, but does not actually add any images to Waveform (or the appdata directory). Images are added when you open a plugin the first time or use the camera button.

Thanks for reporting, we'll add this to our backlog.

Can/will this ever be fixed for Linux? It seems to partially work as the plugins are opened for their screenshot and the pipe is created in /tmp but after sometime it times out and creates a new pipe which overwrites the old one and never completes at this stage, thanks

It's not currently possible to get a screenshot of a window on Linux in the JUCE framework we use.
I'm not sure exactly of the technical reasons but one of those is likely to be the number of possible implementations of this due to all the different desktop/window environments.
I've asked about it several times, the most recent of which is here: https://forum.juce.com/t/createsnapshot ... inux/29830

Thanks Dave for taking an interest in this.

Just fixed it for Win/Mac, will be in the next build - 10.1.10

It appears that screenshot functionality in an X environment depends on the window manager being used, which means it will vary from one Linux system to another.

Here is a potentially relevant discussion I found on this on another forum: https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... ive-window

Yes, it's impossible to take shot from window which WM doesn't render. There some hacks for this, but i don't think it's so important and doesn't worth efforts to fix as there other primary things in Linux domain to focus in.
