Anyone else having a problem with this? I can't get the plug to show a dropdown list - for factory presets it says "none". Can load a preset separately from the menu, however. Is there some way of pointing the plugin to the relevant folder Am I missing something?
Cheers

Failing that you could copy the Factory presets folder from within the Final mix presets folder and paste it into the 3rd Party folder which should have all the MDA dll files.
Rescan plug in directories with the clear all plug ins and do a complete rescan option then restart Tracktion...
That should do it.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm no better off yet. I now have the FinalMix dll in the 3rd party folder. This folder holds the factory presets subdirectory. The second folder in Plugins is the Final Mix holding two subdirectories - another factory presets and the (empty) user presets.
Any thoughts? Can't pick up the plugin list from the program button at the bottom of the screen either.

If you have copied the factory presets folder from within the Final mix presets folder to the 3rd party folder (make sure the presets are actually in the factory preset folder),restarted Tracktion and then re - scanned that directory it should work.MCDM wrote:I now have the FinalMix dll in the 3rd party folder. This folder holds the factory presets subdirectory. Try removing the directory from Tracktion's list of directories to search. Restarting Tracktion then adding the path to the 3rd party folder and restarting.
It really should not be this complicated and should be working.I assume you are trying to access presets from the Final mix interface?

No presets are showing up for me either. I've tried rescanning (both types), moving the dll and presets out of and back into the third party folder, tghen rescanning again but nothing has worked. It just shows the first preset at most.

Its kinda weird how the presets are inside the plug-in and cant be viewed in the Tracktion plug-in thing. But its all good, atleast theres a lot of themaMUSEd wrote:No presets are showing up for me either. I've tried clicking on "use default folder" and now it's showing no presets at all - not even the first one - just "untitled". I suspect it's looking for a default folder somewhere where it's not installed (maybe on the C drive - I have Tracktion installed as with all my apps on my D drive).

I haven't even got that option, where is it? All I can see is Program 1 > 4 on the drop down list and they are all the same. I've tried all the fixes given and the presets still don't load as they should. It's hardly rocket science, or at least shouldn't be, to get this working, how come this works for some and not others? Final Mix is a native Tracktion fx, we shouldn't need voodoo to be able to use itaMUSEd wrote:I've tried clicking on "use default folder" and now it's showing no presets at all - not even the first one - just "untitled".

I think you're looking in the wrong place. FM doesn't use the standard Tracktion preset dialog at the bottom of the screen - it has its own preset browser on the interface. Look at the top right of the FM interface, under the "Final Mix" logo. You should see "Acuma CD Mastering". Click on that to access other presets.Ian B wrote:I haven't even got that option, where is it? All I can see is Program 1 > 4 on the drop down list and they are all the same.
