I have T7 on Win10.
I want to drive MT Power drumkit 2 from my computer keyboard.
I setup a virtual midi device (named qwerty) and loaded on the track. I get the piano keuboard to come up and I can hit the keyboard keys and see them hit the corresponding piano keys.
I load the MT power drumkit 2 plugin to the track. On the drum UI I can hit the drums with the mouse and get sound.

I try to record...the track level meter registers sound when I hit the keyboard keys and places midi notes on the track....but no drum sound. I have input monitoring enabled.
When I playback...no drum sound.

Surely I've missed a step. Please help and thanks

I believe default for the on-screen keyboard are notes that are above wht MT Power Drumkit uses. I don't know if it's possibly to "lower" the virtual on-screen keyboard by an octave or so...

So when you record you hear but when you playback it sends no sound?
1.You may have set the track output to the wrong place? Check if the track is set the the default audio track.
2.Or you are actually not recording the midi, then make sure to arm the current track with a midi input (on the left side, it should appear with a red arrow) make sure it's red recording blob appears when you press 'r' or the recording button/shortcut.

3.Plugin bug, there use to be a bug where audio would cut out if the cpu was overworked in some vsts.
4.Is the midi blob you are writing to muted? if the midi blob is grey or set to a different channel, that might be the case.
5.Is the track muted?
Those are some suggestions :) :tu:

Thanks for the hints and tips. I believe I have this sorted out now. Here is what I found.

1. The MT Power Drunkit sounds are indeed mapped 2 octaves lower on the Virtual Piano keyboard than the Computer keyboard...e.g computer "A" was middle C but middle C for the drumkit was 2 octaves down. I was able to hit the lower piano keys with the mouse and heard all the sounds. So, in the Drumkit settings I redefined each sound up 2 octaves... eg, Kick was C- 36 and I moved it up to C 72....etc. (this was all trial and error since I found no documentation on any of this) Now, on the Computer keyboard when I hit A it sounds the Kick, S sounds the snare....etc... so seems like that is sorted out.

2. Recording. I was still unable to record. It was telling me that no device was attached to the track. ...a bunch of trial and error and I have solved it.
I have guitar and bass on tracks 1 thru 4. I wanted to put drums on track 5...so it is here where I have the virtual midi keyboard as input and have the drumkit plugin. I made the track5 input block current, right clicked and selected midi tracks...it listed all of my other tracks except track 5...my current track. So I selected track 6 (next empty track) and made it a midi track. Presto....recording works now and I can record drum tracks. I don;t know why. But now in the track 5 input block, instead of the name of my virtual midi keyboard it says Track 6(M).

So thanks to all who helped
