Just a quick yes or no is enough
Are there any plans foranalogue modelled zdf filters that can do convincing audio rate modualtion , some filters that equal the best of the best ( u-he , cytomic , reaktor core etc )
Getting rid of the bi-quad filters :tu:
Imho , the turbofilters doesn't cut it

Aww, I took the title to mean there were new filters confirmed :/ Personally I don't even care if they're on the level of U-He and Co; I'd settle for okay quality and greater variety.

Why would you want to get rid of anything?
What is TurboFilter missing?

Post

No dev time for that, so "no" for now.

Almost everything to make it sound like a top notch analogue modelled filter ( +aduio rate modulation etc )
All filters in melda ( including turbo) are based on biquad filter blocks

I don't understand. What is superior about an analogue modeled filter? Are you focused more on the programming algorithms? What are the shortcomings and how are they alleviated by what you suggest? You ask for audio rate modulation, etc., what does that bring to the table? What does etc. consist of?

Well, here at least, there's not a preset in sight - not in the TurboFilter module nor in MTurboFilter. I'm assuming this is still a work in progress. Am I overlooking something?

You are absolutely right. It is still very much a work in progress. Expect changes and additions.

I've been thinking about this module and wondering what its direction will take.
1. Is it to be the standard collection of emulations?
2. Are the Melda collection of crossovers available as filtering components?
3. Does spectral filtering figure in somehow?
4. Will we be able to filter sample rates as opposed to audio?
5. How about filtering bit rates using an audio filter shape (HP, LP, etc.)?
6. Does the filter need to be static or will it be capable of sampling frequency responses of effects such as a chorus, phaser, flanger, or even a reverb to be used as the filtering mechanism?
7. Can we filter using the Arp or MRhythmizer type sequences to create a Wavetable of filters to be modulated?
8. Will there be some form of blur or smear function possible?
9. Is there a negative filter function that will allow us to listen to what is being removed?
10. What other features can be filtered/ can a filter be used as a modulator somehow?

If you don't notice/hear the difference between a simple bi-quad filter at high resonance that explodes when doing audio rate modulation against a well done zdf filter, you shouldn't care :tu:

I appreciate your experience and am attempting to understand, could you expound a bit to help me out? Where can I find examples that demonstrate the differences?

Queestion for develoer
Is it true that the latest update now has zdf filters ( zero delay filters ) ?
If so , did you use vadim zavalishin's book for reference ?

It uses SVF filters, which I assume is sort of the same thing :). Anyways check it out and let me know what you think. Note that you need to use the FilterFast module or lpfast (etc.) in MTurboFilter. I used some existing opensource SVF implementation and kinda tweaked it.
