MCodec?

Wouldn't you like to know what your material will sound like after compressing into formats like MP3, AAC, youtube, etc? Wouldn't you like the ability to abuse these codecs for special effect? I know I would!
Nugen has a plugin that does this called MasterCheck. I haven't personally tried this, but it sounds interesting. Personally, I'm mostly interested in using codecs for special effects, maybe morphing the heavily compressed output back with the original signal, to create some interesting sounds. But I'd find it interesting to hear how trailers I'm working on are going to sound on YouTube, etc as well as game assets, while mixing.
It would simply need to have controls for input/output/drywet, codec select, bit rate or compression ratio, possibly variable/constant bit rate, possibly custom settings per codec. With some presets for common output destinations such as youtube, spotify, etc to simplify things for people that don't know what those services use.
Codecs:
-MP3
-AAC
-Ogg Opus
-Ogg Vorbis
-WMA
Those of us working in game audio would also find this useful as most game assets use lossy compression, so it can be helpful to hear what it will sound like WHILE you're making assets. Xbox has hardware for a codec called XMA, but it's essentially WMA, which is why I've included it here.
This idea may have to be a premium plugin that is not part of bundles because Melda would have to license some codecs if they're not open or public.
Interesting to people?

really codecs affect sound material sometimes dramatic. but we have MAutoDynamicEQ - upload raw uncompressed audio, compressed, and select what you want - sound like uncompressed

I wish I had time for this... Anyways there are some solutions out there and I must say I don't even find it too interesting. Size doesn't matter anymore, so personally I'm all for FLAC
.
