Maybe its because I'm on an old version of Nuendo, but even with side chain enabled on the plugin, it doesn't come up as an option to connect to. Other side chaining plugins work fine.

Is there anything I can do? Is it due to using an old version of Nuendo?

Restarting Nuendo fixed it urgh
