What is involved in updating T., I'm at 1.5.0.254

Here's the skinny,

On the machine where I have T installed, a demo version by the way, it's version 1.5.0.254.

I have a 28.8kbps dial-up connection (I just can't pay $50 to the cable company each month) and DSL still isn't available here.

Q1.: Does updating T involve a download of the entire program and how big is it?

Q2. At work, I do have a zippy internet connection; can I download an install file of the update, burn it to a CD, bring it home and then install at home?

Just download either the full or the minmal installer for your platform and run it on your computer. The minimal installer will probably be fine if you're overwriting an existing installation (it excludes examples), but beware that the latest build of tracktion has a free plugin called FinalMix which is only in the full build. Read the forums for views on FM and how good it is or isn't.

You can download the program wherever you want. Your serial number is not coded into the download. If your current version is authorised and working, you won't have any problems. Download it at work, burn to CD and install at home if you want.

I think he was using a demo... which means you can just download the latest demo from any computer. do make sure you get the version with examples so you get finalmix
