Is there a way with Melda EQs or filters to target only frequencies that do belong to a chosen musical key? I want to push or suppress frequencies in the drums that should or should not be there.

I understand that I can manually target these frequencies but the question is if there is some kind of more general solution where I generally can boost or cut frequencies of a given musical key in audio?

You could use a multiparameter to do this.
Set the MP to banks mode and start inputting the correct frequencies into each bank slot (this will be easy as there is a little pop-up keyboard when double-clicking a frequency parameter)
Make sure to turn off interpolation of the banks.
Now when you use this MP to sweep through the frequency, it will snap to scale.

Another way that might be helpful would be to control the eq freq via midi note:

Thanks guys. This are very good suggestions. I was able to work something out using the midi note mechanism.
