I was able to install the following updates without any problems on my iMac running MacOS Catalina 10.15.1. The plugins are working great in Studio One 4.5.5.
  • Ample Guitar LP
  • Ample Guitar SC
  • Ample Guitar Peregrine Falcon
  • Ample Guitar TC
  • Ample Metal Eclipse
I can say without any reservations that the download, installation and activation process was NOT "Atrocious" and it didn't feel at all like "it was developed and coded in 1998." No "mountains of regret" here! :D

Big thanks to Ample Sound for upgrading all of their products throughout this past year, at no additional cost, unlike most other companies do for major updates like this. :D :) :hyper:

really good release. I like the new harmonic feauture too very much. The distortion sound of the new AME guitar is the best i hear without real cabinet microphone speaker record. maybe you can do a standalone effect so i can use your amp sim with my real hardware guitar or guitar loops

did you release Demos for Les paul, strat and other to test 14 days ?. I currently see no 3.0 demo
I like test before. currently i have AME which have mute /sustain/harmonic as velocity switch.

so my main question is, if i can configure that other ample guitars too can use velocity switch for this articulations. as i remember on 2.0 demo the other ample guitars work only with keyswitch. I do not like use keyswitxh for mute/sustain. i use always velocity in my songs to switch articulations

Thanks Magicmusic, hope you enjoy with the v3 update and please also notice the Tap articulation on new AME, it is a big sample group.

There is a double keyswitches feature on Ample Guitar, play sustain C0 and PM D0 together, you get sustain in high velocity layer and mute in low velocity layer, the same as AME.

I read AME AMP use 192 khz. Maybe you can add a choose in future release to use 96 or 44 khz sample rate. Because i get performance problems. maybe when have 96 khz is good enough and 2* faster. I have a i5 8600K (6*3.6 GHZ) and for a good scorpions simular sound i need layer 2 AME. 1 AME with preset default and double track and 1 AME with double track preset see attached. this use with studio one 4.5 between 50-70% CPU. only for rythm. another AME for lead is then not possible.

That's weird cause for me the built-in amps use far less CPU than for example Ignite Emissary 2. I have a weaker CPU than you (i5-6600 @3.30 GHz) and I just finished a project with 9 instances of Ample Sound guitars in Reaper (I bypassed the amps and used my own which were more CPU-intensive)

I test with reaper and on reaper show only 30% CPU load. but i get crackle with 4 AME too and 256 samples blocksize. what ASIO blocksize you use ?. seem reaper CPU load seem not very precise. yu also need notice that when i use 4 AME it have 4 AMP simualtions. when use 4 instances with 1 or 2 extern amps need less calculation.

I need use 256 samples blocksize, so i hear no guitar delay. when i use blocksize 1024 then i get no crackle but i hear delay on realtime play. thats because guitar itself delay because of strum time.

The CPU is not the only one reason of the crackle, the disk space and speed of C:\ are important too - a fast SSD and 30GB unuse space(C:\) would be nice. normally there is not crackle issues on a Mac (even an old Mac).

The IR reverb takes a high CPU too.

I have a Samsung 512 GB SSD and 90 GB free. i look, AME samples are all on this drive. there come crackle even if AME play no notes. seem AMP on AME and effects allways use CPU. only when i switch off the use of AME the CPU load is reduce.

>>there come crackle even if AME play no notes
DAW automatically sends continuous signal to all of instrument tracks, an instrument track takes the same CPU no matter it is playing or not.

@magicmusic
Thank you for your info.

May I ask when the builtin Amp is On, what's the buffer size when you hear crackles? Have you tried to increase the buffer size to see if it helps?

Your info would be very helpful and appreciated by us. Thank you in advance.

I use 256 samples buffer size. only when i use 1024 samples it is without crackles but CPU load is much. with 1024 samples i hear a delay on play. I have a presonus studio live ar mixer with ASIO

That is strange, I use 256 buffer size in Reaper without any issues myself, also I'm running the libraries from a 5400 RPM HDD and the only issue is longer load times but everything works afterwards just fine.

what soundbox/soundcard you use ?. the studio live ar is connect with USB. I notice that i can with 256 samples buffer size not more use than 50% cpu load or it crackle. only with AME effects i reach this limit
