Me again , see screenshot
Once you hear the click , you can not unhear it ...
The example shows a simple sine with the master envelope set to loop mode .

This obviously also happens when using the looping envelope to control the fm input of an FM osc , the clicking is annoying to say the least

Is that because Rise and Release are set to extremes and cause a short blip?

You have set F/R to 100, that means that when the sustain level is reached, you create a super quick rise in volume, only then it loops back to the attack phase. Hence the click.
Set F/R to a negative value, maybe -100 for a quick jump to the loop point, and you're good, no more clicks.

Yes , F/R is set to 100 , and attack /decay is not set to extreme settings ( it's all abvious in the provided patch ) , combined time = appr: 2 HZ
Adjusting the fall/rise value doesn't get ridof the clicks

When F/R is set positive, you get this kind of curve /\/\ composed out of Attack - Decay - Rise - LoopA the second hill, composed out of Rise and LoopA is very short, hence the click.

The loop does not click when you set F|R full negative in the patch you provided:
