Would be great to get VST3 support and /or AU Support in MuLab
Cheers
Yep, top reason to have the format dropped by devs. That might convince Steinberg to mend their ways.RichardSemper wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 11:03 amIn fact its annoying that you cannot install them where you like, or organise them properly within any DAW host.
Capitalism works like that. If there's no demand, there's no reason for the supplier to supply. So if devs don't support it, why would Steinberg carry on promoting it? If DAW users refuse to buy VST3-only plugins, devs won't see a demand for the format and won't see a reason to waste costly resources supporting it.heks wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 1:00 pmWhy would top devs make a stand against Steinberg ? Just wondering.
I'd vote for that and to have a cross platform "save as " then we could save in one DAW and open the project again in another DAW that may do something better than the first DAW.mutools wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 3:47 pm What we need is an open source music plugin format. Not owned by Steinberg or Apple or ...
MUX presets are already cross-platform, of course.heks wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 5:29 pmI'd vote for that and to have a cross platform "save as " then we could save in one DAW and open the project again in another DAW that may do something better than the first DAW.
