Hi folks,
I will have an audio or MIDI signal coming into a rack (it varies). I want to record the incoming signal to the rack and the audio output of the rack after the last device. I'd like these to display as lanes in the compose view, preferably grouped together.
In the case of an incoming audio signal, I can nearly accomplish this with two "audio file recorder" modules, but those modules don't always show as regular lanes in the compose view. I'm not sure how to record an incoming MIDI signal and also the audio output. Do I need two racks?
I think I'm a bit confused between the racks, composer lanes, and audio file recorders.

Can a single rack have multiple record lanes?

If you want audio recorders to be linked to a track use the "Add Audio Track" function.
So use that function twice as you want 2 audio tracks.
Then in the project modular area make the relevant connections so that the first audio recorder will record what goes into your prefered rack, and the second audio recorder will record what comes out of your prefered rack.
Hope this helps.
NB: If you're using the M8.4 beta, pls make sure to first update to the newest version because there was a potential crash bug fix wrt deleting racks that are connected to an audio recorder module.
