Waveform 10 - Input not working

I just installed Waveform 10 CM edition on my beefy MacBook and I cannot get any of the audio inputs to work. I know it's not the hardware because I have no issues with GarageBand, Tracktion or Ableton.

I have tried setting the audio input to all 4 of my sound interface's input and tried the built in mic and there is no sound showing up on the tracktion input meter. I've enabled live monitoring, different sample rates. I've been using DAWS for over 20 years and I just don't understand why I can't capture sound with Waveform.

Any help is appreciated.

I've set the input gain max too. Nothing.

Have you enabled the recording input? You have to press the red record button on the input to get sound.
Linux version?

yes, the input is "armed". I really don't get it. I don't want to give up trying to fix this, but my patience is getting thin.

Do you have Run audio engine when stopped enabled under Options in your edit?

Finally, I figured it out. I had to allow Waveform access to my microphone on my Mac. That actually allowed Waveform to use my sound interface input.

You can see here if you have the same issue: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209175

I'm really glad because, to be honest, I am a long time Traction user and decided to try Waveform. I was this closed from moving . to another DAW. But not anymore!

Glad you got this resolved!

Thanks for posting the Apple info. I'm not using Apple product, yet this is good to know. Yet another bit of Mojave update fallout...
