I'm trying out MFreqShifterMB with it currently on sale and I'm really liking the Stereo Expansion preset but I feel it's overall effect is too strong. I'd like to reduce it but using the Dry/Wet knob to lessen the effect creates phase issues. I've tried it as and insert and in an effects loop with the same issue. None of the other parameters seem to address the strength of the Stereo Expansion effect. It seems there's no way to adjust this without incurring phase problems??

Thanks,
Sid

There is a parameter named "Width", when this is set to 100% there will be no widening. So please try with this, it should do exactly what you need.

I did try this. Even with Width set to zero the effect is still fairly strong. Setting width to 0 and bypassing indicates there still processing going on elsewhere that I wish I could lower. You would think that setting width zero would be no expansion and would essentially be the same as the plug in a bypassed state but that does not seem to be.

OK, you got me :dog:
There is still some processing audible at 100% but it is more subtle.
That is closer to what I was looking for. Thanks!
Unfortunately I have a feeling of deja vu in not really being in complete control of Melda plugs
(ie MSpectralDynamics) like I am with other plugs. That makes it difficult to buy.

Trust me there will be not additional width added when at 100%.
I understand what you are saying about control of the plugins. They are generally very complex, but that's what is good about them. Work put in now to learn them pays off later. One thing to note is that the preset you were looking at was made by someone and their interpretation of a control might be different to someone else's. So this means the controls will not always be consistent or do exactly what you want them to do. I recommend you spend time in the edit screen, this is were the real controls are. You can mouse over a control and CTRL+H to bring up a help info.

I appreciate your assistance with my issue. You obviously have much deeper grasp of Melda plugs than I, and your suggestion did lessen the overall effect but if you put that Stereo Expansion preset on a track, set the width at 100% and then bypass and unbypass and you can't hear that there's some processing going on then there must be a bug or something wrong on my end. I can definitely hear some processing still happening.

Yeah, maybe processing, not sure I haven't fully checked. But no additional stereo width be added.
