wavefrom 8 midi usb input not visible

Hi,
I'm trying to connect my usb keystation 88 via usb to waveform 8
waveform sees the keystation 2 times one as keystation and a MIDIIN2 keystation
the keystation responds to the strokes and the MIDIIn2 not.
but I only have the option to add the MIDIIN2 to a track and not the keystation input.
when i disable the MIDIIN2 input no option to add the keystation is shown.
I don't want to buy a midi cable since the training also show that a normal usb keyboard can be added to a track.

anyone a solution?

Have you activated the Keystation in midi settings?
