While jamming with my friends I usually send the track to headphones to try my idea before sending it to master. After feeling confident that is good for the mix, I switch the output to master.

It would be very useful to avoid the mouse, but I can't find any methods for that. I have looked into Track and Channel methods with no success. All the other track controls are there: monitor, auto-monitor, source.
Is this an API limitation? How can I achieve this using other controls/flow?

I have just discovered the solo as cue functionality, this solves my need! I can use the solo button from the controller to monitor the track on headphones while the volume is -∞dB. After the clip is ready for the mix, I can increase the volume
