I don't remember it doing this before, but when using step input, it sets the new notes to the velocity specified in the MIDI editor, rather than using that of the incoming notes.

'Tis much wrong.
i9-10980HK. Windows 10 (21H2). Komplete Audio 6. Studio One 5.4.1.
