This has been confusing me for the last hour and half, with me asking "Why is everything transposed a semitone?"
See how the horizontal note guides do not match the notes on the keyboard? The MIDI Editor window is the same. It's awful. The keyboard notes are correct, the notes guides are wrong. Is this a settings somewhere? How on earth can I fix it?

Hi mate, I've had the same problem. I don't know why this setting is on by default.
Go to Settings -> Appearance -> MIDI Note Colour -> Untick "highlight current key in MIDI background"

What key are you playing in? The background matches the selected key, so that in-key notes are lighter and out-of-key notes are darker.

Thanks David and Stuttaton, they key was set to Bb and the setting was switched on. When did that "feature" appear? It's very poorly implemented and hidden away.
