Hi!
Is there any plugin (expecially in MXXX) like bitfun (changing bitrate) for reducing the sample-frequency for lofi effects?
It should be called resampling, right?

thanks

Sample and Hold (S&H).
MDistortion has also S&H and a crusher under the Destroyer panel.
:)

Actually I believe it's the reducer in distortion (destroyer panel)

Great, thank you!!!

Hm I thought the reducer is the bit rate reducer, I haven't tried it yet. Anyway, it's there somewhere XD

Post

I think the bit rate reducer is named crusher. The sample rate reducer is named reducer.

Ah yes, that makes sense :D! Thanks for clarifying. Then somehow it isn't quite clear to me what the difference is between S&H and the reducer... the interpolation?

I'm not sure either. I'll find out.......

True, though "sample rate reducer" is basically low-pass filter, that's all. S&H is different. There are some other modes though.

S&H is the aliased versoin without any interpolation, sharp edges that fits in the grid.
I thought that this was originally meant because it's a common effect nowdays.
