MUX audio sequences

Demoing Mux within Cubase 10 I am very impressed!
I am amazed how easy it is to work with slices and manipulate them in the Audio Sequencer.
I also find the time stretching audio results really great, congrats for this.
I still have a few questions about Audio Sequences
1. Is it possible to route each of the sixteen lanes of an audio sequence to different audio outputs?
If no, is it something that may be added in the future?
2. Beside of the sample manipulations found at the bottom of the Audio Sequencer (for example: Source Sample / Options / DSP Functions) is it possible to apply an external effect on individual slices?

Currently not yet. I hope it will be possible to add that in the future but can't make any statements about it yet as it first needs research.1. Is it possible to route each of the sixteen lanes of an audio sequence to different audio outputs?

In fact same answer as above.2. Beside of the sample manipulations found at the bottom of the Audio Sequencer (for example: Source Sample / Options / DSP Functions) is it possible to apply an external effect on individual slices?
As pljones also pointed out it's possible to use parallel audio sequence players. You can choose to make a sub-mix within MUX or use MUX's 4 stereo outs to get the audio into your host DAW.
When using a MUX patch with parallel audio sequence players you could also use a MIDI Channel Splitter module and route each channel to a different audio sequence player, that way you can control which player to target by selecting the MIDI channel in your host DAW editor. Just ideas, there are several options.

Actually, I deleted my comment because I couldn't get it to work. I'm sure it used to work - add the extra outs and Reaper would see them. Now it says "Could not get channel info for effects (are they multichannel?)". I've got two audio outs and nothing comes out of the second. Reaper doesn't even see the second out - it says "2in 2out" steadfastly (stereo in, stereo out - the VST default). This is 8.4.17 - but I've not tried it in Reaper for a long time, either - it could have happened during Reaper 5.x at some point.
(So, currently, it's mix down to stereo before returning to the host. Which possibly defeats the point.)

@ pljones
Thanks for your answer and this interesting suggestion.
Indeed it seems it could work.
What I am aiming at is to at least put an individual effect on each lane.
With your suggestion one would to mute all but one lane in each sequencer in order to be able to use FX on a single lane.
But I think it would considerably slow down the fast and easy use of sixteen lanes in one sequencer as you can do that for only one pattern so to speak.
You cannot quickly change the order of the slices on the fly on sixteen sequencer!
The thing is that I am really impressed on how fast you can splice a drum loop, very fast distribute the splices over up to sixteen lanes and then you are able to almost instantly time-manipulate each single splice without leaving the editor!
I find it so great and it feels to me almost like "live Playing"
After playing a bit within one sequencer I then spontaneously had the strong wish to go a "little" further and thought how great it would be to have an effect inserted on each lane or to have an individual audio output for each lane where you could insert an effect.
In fact I realize that I am asking for a mixer after the Audio Sequencer
Being able to insert an FX on each slice would be also something great!
Of course I am aware that what I am asking for is quite a lot!
@ mutools
Thank you for your promising answer
I read your answer after I had written my answer to pljones.
I post the answer nevertherless.
I find your suggestion also very interesting.
But if I understand correctly it would also slow down the Live-like way of working as I described above.
I am glad that you consider my suggestion

Sure i understand your requests, i much feel in the same play zone when using the audio sequencer and i'd love to extend its options and flexibility. Hope you'll also find comfortable ways to get most out of the current options already. And meanwhile the next weeks and months i'll continue the R&D of MuLab & MUX Modular.

Mine's been set to 32 outs for years, still works fine in reaper and mux 8 beta versionspljones wrote: Mon Feb 17, 2020 9:04 pm Actually, I deleted my comment because I couldn't get it to work. Yeah, I'm sure I've lost a setting at some point and now can't remember how to get it right.

Not yet.Is the separate 16 lane audio out possible now in mulab 9?
But definitely on the wishlist.

I really like audio seq as well.. I would love to be able to pitch bend slices inside the seq. - like over top of the audio or something. will save that for a FR

I would love to see per-lane and per-slice effects in the audio sequencer as well. Reaper has per-clip FX (take FX), but the implementation results in weird artifacts when automating parameters. The effects are somehow disabled until the item plays, then they're activated when it plays, and then disabled when the item stops playing. Effects end up not clearing their buffer or something. Reaper devs blame the plugin devs for the issue, which... okay, but a LOT of effects plugins exhibit that problem.
In fact I think there's an opportunity to put effects at four different levels (going from highest to lowest level):
1. rack level - I believe this is the only place you can put effects right now
2. sequence level - apply effects to a specific sequence clip
3. audio sequence lane
4. audio sequence slice
Relatedly, something I've wanted for years is "recursive sound objects" where you have a clip that you can click in to and it's a full-blown sequencer - which is what we have with the new Composer module. I am having fun with it so don't really have a feature request... but I will throw out the minimally-baked idea that I have a gut feeling that sequencing "composer clips" similar to the audio sequencer would be really cool - especially with per-clip effects.
