How come Mulab doesn't play sound when I select middle of the notes?

With all the other DAWs, you can play your notes whichever position you put your cursor at but in Mulab, it does not produce any sound? Is this a feature or is Mulab only capable of producing sounds from the beginning of the notes? Also Mulab has a problem where playing multiple notes very fast results in some of the notes stuck playing even though I let go of the keys. I have to use the panic button to fix this, is Mulab generally buggy or is this something that's intended?

By the way I have the licensed version not the demo version. Also I'm not trying to hate Mulab, I love this DAW (that's why I bought it), but sometimes I feel like Mulab feels very similar to LMMS in that they both are laggy.

Indeed. There is a good chance this will be added in some future version.

That should not happen of course.
Are you on MacOS or Windows?
If on Windows then are you using MME or ASIO?
And what's your audio engine buffer size? (right-click cpu meter -> Aduio Engine Stats)

Both MME and ASIO has this issue where if you constantly play notes while drawing your own oscillator, some one the notes will be stuck indefinitely. Also just a quick question, is there a difference using Mulab's poly synth compare to making my own poly synth copying all the same modules? It seems that poly synth is a separate module? because even if I have the same modules in my own patch, it doesn't work the same way as poly synth.

And what's the purpose of event input1? what kind of events other than midi keyboard include?

If I make a patch like this,

Event input 1
|
Oscillator
|
Audio Output 1

The oscillator makes a sound immediately even though I didn't press any key?

Thank you, you guys are working really hard for this project!

Hi, i highly recommend the following documentation about creating a synth in mux/mulab. I think it could help you with some issues here: https://mutools.com/info/M8/docs/mux/polysynth.html

Cheers

Can you please give describe in more details what you mean with "while drawing your own oscillator"?
Do you mean: while drawing the waveform?

Post

Yes, if you play random notes aggressively while drawing a waveform, a lot of the notes are stuck playing even when I let go of the keys. I can fix it by pressing panic button or turn off the synth and turn back on.

I don't know about 3rd party vsts but all of mulab's synth with drawable waveform has this problem.

Odd, i cannot repeat this. Can you please make a video of this?

Thx for the vid, that helps, now i know you're playing from the virtual midi keyboard, i thought you meant playing from a real midi keyboard. Ok i can repeat it now and have taken note. Thx for reporting this. Until it has been fixed: Pls avoid pressing virtual midi keys while drawing the waveform.
