Waveform 10 pro project templates disappeared

Hi there,
As I'm getting more into working with Waveform, I wanted to experiment with project templates.
For some odd reasons, the default templates I know were initially included with Waveform, are no longer to be found on my system.
I may have deleted them unintentionaly when I deleted the demo songs, I don't know.
Anyways, is there a way or a place I can go to to get those templates back
I've searched high and low on my hard drive but to no avail.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

What OS are you using?
If you haven't deleted them or the Waveform settings folder they should be in the "Tracktion/Waveform/Templates" settings folder.
E.g.
"~/Library/Application Support/Tracktion/Waveform/Templates" on macOS
"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Waveform\Templates" on Windows

Thanks for the reply.
I am on Windows 10.
It seems that I unfortunately deleted the templates, they're not in the folder you mentioned. Though, the folder do exist.
I am wondering if there is a way to get them back without having to reinstall the whole thing.
Thanks

I couldn't find them on my laptop and I wouldn't have deleted them. I haven't deleted any of the demo tracks. You could try reinstalling Waveform 10 and the demo tracks. It's only a few downloads and clicks. There's no need to reinstall anything else, as far as I can see. I have versions 6 to 11 on my laptop.
That said, I didn't know there were any provided templates.

Are you talking about templates you've created yourself? Or some that came with a previous version of Waveform?
We've only just added some factory presets to Waveform 11 (Free and Pro).

I was sure I had seen recording templates in Waveform 10. There wasn't recording templates with Waveform 10?
If I download the new free Waveform, can I transfer the templates to Waveform 10?

I don't think so, I think they're for W11 only.
(They might work but it's not something we can support or have time to test ourselves I'm afraid).

I thought Waveform 10 came with such templates.
Though, I'm sure previous versions of Waveform, or even before when it was still called Tracktion, had those templates. I do remember seeing them, though I can't remember which one.
Anyways, I just might try the new free version and see if the templates are in there and try them in version 10. I will report back.
Thanks for your replies.

I'm still a bit confused as to what templates you're referring to. Very old versions of Tracktion may have come with some (T1, 2, 3). Do you remember the names of the templates? That might help us identify where they came from.

I'm talking about the recording templates. The ones you can choose when creating a new project that will setup defaults tracks according the type of project you starts, like the Band Recording template, or the EDM template, etc...dRowAudio wrote: Mon Mar 30, 2020 10:08 am I'm still a bit confused as to what templates you're referring to. And I don't recall their exact specific names but I believe they were similar to the ones in W11.
By the way, I did install the new free Waveform, just to have the templates, and tried them in W10, but they don't work. Start a new project, give it a name and select a folder, chose a template (from W11 free) and that New Project just closes down. It does create a folder with the new project name but it is empty.

Ok, we'll hopefully be releasing an update to W10 soon which should fix this crash.
Stay tuned to the in-app update notifications.
