In a recent track I made I tried programming fusion style drums using Mdrummer. In this video I'll show you how I added variations, used Mdrummer to drive a drum sampler and put the track together. Hopefully you find this helpful.

With the factory Rhythms, the BEATS (unlike the BREAKS etc) don't usually have loop variations for each loopbox (key).
This video shows how to set this up for BEATS as well...good for jazz styles and jamming generally.
