Yesterday I was tweaking guitars in latest PatchWork (Win x64 VST3 Cubase 10), mixed several Amplitube 3 (VST2) and CLA Guitars (also VST2). All was working fine.

Today I opened the project and these was no sound on that channel. It seems like Amplitube gets the sound in in but somewhy doesn't pass it though.

I tried it with PatchWork VST2 version, and there's no such problem. I close Cubase, open, and all works fine.

Saved preset and loaded in PatchWork VST3, all works fine. After reloading Cubase no sound in PatchWork VST3 version again. I suppose maybe it's something wrong with params not correctly saved for Amplitube in PatchWork VST3 version?

This is odd. What does happen if you bypass Amplitube? Do you get any sound thru?

Post

Yes, when bypassing Amplitube the sound comes back.
Here's a short video (sorry for poor sound from webcam mic):

As I said, in PatchWork VST2 all is ok.

If I open Amplitube I see that input meter in Amplitube shows the levels, but no level on the output. And even if I disable everything (that I could find) in Amplitube, I can't get the sound back somewhy.

Post

It is likely that Amplitube does not like the way Cubase restores the session when loading a project and corrupts its own data. Maybe it has a bug that is visible only in this case, because the reload sequence is different.

Do you maybe happen to have mapped parameters on these plug-ins by the way?

Post

Yes, I did a couple of mappings for pedals at first and wrote the automation.

But I've just checked from start, just Amplitube, without any automations and mappings, still in VST3 PW no sound after reloading. I guess there's something different between VST2 and VST3, but I'm quite unfamiliar with that.
