there is a global upsampling for the whole chain inside MXXX and also for every single plugin? How does it behave, if I use the upsampling by MXXX and not in the single instances? How does it behave and work overall inside MXXX? Any recommendations for the upsampling inside MXXX?

Hey, well, it works like this:
upsampling filter -> the actual processing -> downsampling filter
Since every filtering it technically some sort of process that changes your audio and you usually want these to be transparent, less filtering is usually better. So audio quality-wise it's better to oversample the entire MXXX. BUT that often means much higher CPU power and if you have 30 modules in there and only one deserves oversampling, then it may be better to oversample just that one. In any case it's generally a trade-off between CPU requirements and audio quality. Make sure you check this to understand oversampling properly:
