Is it possible to transfer what you have done so far in the grid directly in a modular module?
I don't see this function (it could be useful).

I tried with the presets but it seems not possible (the grid and the modular module don't share the same presets).

Sorry, I'm speaking of MSoundFactory!

I use presets for this, I'm pretty sure they work. I will be in the studio later today, so I will double check this for you.

But, I would love to have copy/paste buttons at the top of the modulars. Vojtech?

You can copy and paste from modular to modular, modular to unioson and order, but obviously not from MSF grid to modular. I wished the same thing just now. Is it possible to optimize?

The presets do work for this, I just tested.
But copy/paste would be better.

Thank you jmj8. I will try with the presets!

I don't follow, there IS copy & paste.

Hi Vojtech, nice to meet you!

I meant a general move (or copy) function to transfer the entire grid inside a "modular" module without to do a copy/paste for every module of the grid and then redo all the connections in the "modular".

But if it is possible with the presets (I still didn't try)...

Post

There are copy/paste buttons in the modulars, except for the main modular (generator tab)

Haha aaaha, just use the global copy / paste in the plugin toolbar ;)

Didn't work

With the global copy/paste doesn't work. I can't do it also with the presets.
As I said the global "generator grid" doesn't share the same preset menù with the "modulator" module. I can't also find the specific preset with windows/explorer because MSF save presets as a global big file.

I'm missing something?

jmg8, how did you do it?

Thank you.

By the way...trying with the presets (import/export) I've lost all the list of the presets (the factory ones and mine also...I've lost all). For sure it's my fault, but the management of presets in MSF it's a real mess. It's not at all clear!

I have to be able to manage (and to see in the explorer) every single preset of every single module. It's not possible to work only with the single big file and the import/export function. It's useless and dangerous!!!

I don't know, maybe I'm missing something again.

But it's starting to be a lot of things that "I'm missing" and I'm starting to think that it is not only my fault!

Vojtech, for sure the issue"presets" it should be at the top of your priorities!! I apologize for my reaction, but in this way it's frustrating to work!

Now, how can I restore all the presets (at least those of the factory...mine are gone!!!!) without reinstalling MSF and with less pain as possible???????

Thank you to all...

There is no grow making complex things if at the same time you make simple things complex!

I appreciate very much the MeldaProduction products, I wrote this also in a thread. But, for how much I appreciate the complexity you can reach with them I also miss some simplicity for doing simple things.

It's ok to look always forward, for new things to develop, new trends, new technology... but sometimes looking back and enhance what you have done in the past (if there is something to enhance!) it's also a progression.

I'm using MSF and other Melda products for a while and I can assure you that there are many "strange things". You understand them, you accept them, you use them, but still...they "strange" remain!

My only explanation for this is the "ecosystem" conception that MeldaProduction has for his products! Developing big macro-module that are usable in all their products, if this is always good for the developer (MeldaProduction) because optimize the time, resources, "logistic"...this not always result in a better usability for the user!

One example? The "Modulator" concept.
Ok that when you understand it once, it's forever and for all the Melda plugin. But I assure you that if you use a "monster" like MSF you feel tremendously the need of a "simpler" way to modulate your parameters.

"But I assure you that if you use a "monster" like MSF you feel tremendously the need of a "simpler" way to modulate your parameters." what do you mean?

And if it is about MSoundFactory - you need to copy the FX section entirely. I'm not sure if it is there. I thought it was about MXXX, where copying the entire plugin works.
