In this video I'll show you how you can use MDynamicsMB to eliminate noise or reverb with fewer artifacts than you get using single band gating/expansion. In this video I'll show you how you can do it using 2 different examples. First eliminating noise from a D.I. guitar track and in the 2nd example I remove excess reverb from a drum loop. I hope you find this useful.

hi chandler - thank you so much for the great tutorial videos! i have a question about the drum loop segment: why did you move the crossover point between mid and side way to the left? what does that do?

I moved the slider to the left to get a pure mono sound. In mid side mode the mid signal will add some side into it depending on where the slider is positioned. By moving it all the way to the side it completely seperates the mid from the side and you don't get any stereo info in you mid channel.

thanks, this helps - i couldn't figure out why there was a control at all! so does the band slider affect the mid/side balance of the detector, or the processor, or both?
