I've been having an issue with my 2013 i7 MBP running 10.14.6 and Live 10.1.9 getting massive CPU spikes which cause a crash/hang...I've attached a screenshot with one where the CPU meter is showing 35,820
I spent some time trying to work it out and had some useful tips from the Ableton crew about not using cloud based folders for the session/library etc...however - it turned out that simply switching off Multicore option in Diva meant I could go from crashing with 4 Diva in draft mode creating a spike in the 000s - to playing back 7 with some in fast/great quality mode....
Now - this may be specific to my machine, because I had a friend replicate my session best he could in Live 9 on his machine which is very similar to mine (2.5 2015 model-almost same architecture)...mine crashed with multicore on in Live 9 same spot 4 instruments, whereas his played back fine...
Thought it was worth sharing anyway as there must be something about my setup which is not agreeing with the Multicore option...in the past on other slower machines on Mavericks it's not been a problem...
