I put a new synth instrumental song in my music website called "Synth-O-Rama" (the song on top). It has Hive, some non-u-he synths, and Presswerk compression on the drums. Please tell me how you like the song and how it can be improved. Here is my link:

Come on... How many people you see in here promoting themselves? What do you think, if every forum-user would do the same as you did?
---> Right, the forum would be dead and non-informative.

Please keep it clean and keep the forum free for "real" product related questions/announcments.

And please start following/respecting the unwritten rules (of life) for the sake of your social environment.

operator,
I am not the only person that posts songs on this forum. How about all of the people that promote their patches (with songs) for money on this exact forum, and especially in the u-he Preset Library section of this u-he forum? If you are not interested in my songs, just ignore threads like this. I have had Urs compliment me on one of my songs, and Howard Scarr give me a positive comment on a different song of mine.

Typical reaction of a person with a ego-centric world view:

- Justifies their action by pointing on others.
- Thinks they´re special and choosen by ... .
- Starts counter arrgument to try to disarm the critic.
- Got no sense for self-reflection of their actions.
- Justifies their actions with marginally related facts to distort the objective perspective.

I only can repeat myself:
What do you think happen to this forum if every "music making individual" in here would do this? Is it really worth doing this to get yourself ahead of others, even if the most amazing forum on KVR may take harm if others (all) would join the same elbow-promotion-style? I got 60 students at my hands, should I tell them they can promote their music/projects in here?

And I didn´t listened to your music or visited your site... probably it is really, really great. :phones:  I only commented on your "elbow" stategy... (elbow society)

Sorry for being such a grump :x [ ]. Maybe (probably) I´m wrong... IDK... lately I find myself in a world where the majority has an unhealthy need for attention/gradification and does this by any means. No stone is left unturned to reach a goal... even if it means placing/forcing/distorting them into a position where they think they can do things others wouldn´t because the others still got respect for the collective or for themselves.

I wittness this ego-centric elbow strategy a lot at the university with my student-body and this just harms the REALLY smart-introverted students... just because a lousy narcissistic dude/gal thinks he/she should be the top-stud (top-bitch) they place themselves above others and even use the introverted ones sometimes to their need without crediting them :dog: ... CONGRATULATION SOCIETY ON THIS ACHIEVMENT
I think the introverted super smart and down to earth students are the hope for a bright future. But it hurts to see how they get almost bullied and outshone by the loudmouths... :(

In my personal opinion, the disbalance in attention/gradification seeking people is just toxic to the natural evolving social environment.

#survival of the elbows

Sorry I´m biased and maybe a little bit frustrated due to the years with students who turned from very intelligent self-reflecting indviduals to mideocre knowledgeable ego-centric humans who think they´re the pinical of society just because they`re in university.

Current climate...understandable.

Like the music. Not a keeper for me, type of material Id make for my own listening pleasure so to speak.
Very 80's Jan Hammer vibe (guessing thats the ARPs and drums used).
Nice arrangement to the tracks, good flow and structure.
Drums drag a little on some of the tracks and a little too heavy for my taste. But not attrocius!
Better than my soundclick works from around 7/8 years ago. Forgot I had the account until popping back there...
Im a little confused why they would sound best on headphones. Your material, sound ok on the speakers here.
Like "Are you there". Again not my taste but good to here lyrics for a KVR post :)

operator,
OK. Apology accepted. I'm not afraid of a little controversy. Stimulates some activity on this thread. I don't own a dead bat to bite the head off of to generate some publicity. I'm not a pro musician (long ago I was semi-pro), though a person could have the greatest song in the world, and no one is going to hear it if you are too bashful to promote it. I think that most bands that get anywhere spend a huge amount of time with self promotion. At least I am not posting a photo of every meal I eat on facebook (nothing wrong with that if it makes you happy). And I'm not keen on the thought that everyone deserves a trophy, even if they are in last place.

MFXxx,
Thank you for listening and commenting, I appreciate it! I mix on headphones; I like that it sounds more stereophonic on headphones. I used to check my mixes on speakers, but it typically made my mix sound worse on headphones. And I hear most people listen to music on headphones or earbuds nowadays anyways. Yes, I know that if it is mixed properly it should sound fabulous on any sound system (not sure how that is really possible, but that's what people say), but I'm certainly not a pro sound engineer. :)
