How to save a setting as the default?

Hey there, I'm hoping this is a quick request, I've gone through the Manual about saving presets etc. but can't seem to find how to do this.... I wanting to override the default preset to one of my of my own, so when I open a plugin my settings are there ready to go. Is this possible? I've tried selecting "Replace" on the Melda default preset but the original always opens when I open a Melda plugin. I'm using the free pack (which I've purchased) and specifically the Mequaliser (14.05) Appreciate any guidance here.

The default values are not saved in the preset, rather in settings. Take a look there you will some option to set the defaults.
