You mean "installed" and not "downloaded", right?

And, you can configure the folders where MuLab looks for your VST plugins.

You can install your VSTs anywhere you want.
The VST Plugin Manager is the tool to tell MuLab where your VSTs are.
You can also simply drag-drop a VST dll on a rack or modular area and then MuLab will automatically add it.
