Is there any way to rebind the two-key+mouse 'Range' selection? I dont really see why its the more cumbersome shift+alt+drag when it could be simpler, ie ctrl-drag or alt-drag.
If this has come up in another thread, my apologies, did search but couldnt find anything.
Rebind range selection?

Range selection isn't something I've gotten around to trying yet, but this seems to me to be less a hotkey than a primary action. You will probably need to request a feature in the settings to have options.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Not at the moment I'm afraid. When we add new features that require the mouse modifiers it's difficult to fit them in without breaking all the existing behaviour people have committed to muscle memory.
I would like to make all of these actions use-configurable in the future though as that would enable us to add more mouse functionality. I'm tied up with some audio engine work at the moment though so we won't be able to do this soon I'm afraid.
