First time poster and couldn't find answer in a search, so apologies for any redundancy.
I've just gotten T7 installed and everything--interface, mics, etc--is working, but I'm learning to install VST plugins and I'm not getting any sound. I've followed two different YouTube videos to a T as well as tinkered with this thing to no end.
My midi controller is responsive within Tracktion. I hit a key, it lights up the same key. I also tested it by plugging it into GarageBand on my phone and successfully got it to play a couple different instruments on there.
So far in T7:
I pulled up a song I've been working on in GB and all the tracks are playing fine.
I added a new track and picked the midi input from the input list. It seems to be working, like I said.
I installed and assigned Ample Sound Ample Bass II Lite from Plugin Boutique to that same track.
But:
*When I play the controller, it doesn't connect to the plugin. No response.
*When I click on the plugin and the interface pulls up, there's no response on it when I play the midi controller.
*And when I just click on the controller that's on the interface, no sound comes out from there either.
Basically, I'd assume maybe the plugin just isn't making any sound, except that the midi controller doesn't get a response from it. Likewise, I'd say it's maybe the midi controller, but that seems to be functioning fine, if silently, within T7.
Thanks in advance for your help; I appreciate it.
Midi responsive but no sound from plugin in T7

On the right hand side of the (MIDI) track, you have have a volume control/pan and level meters by default. Have you placed the .VST plugin just BEFORE the volume control? If you arm the track and record, do you THEN hear the sound, and is there a recording made with MIDI events from the controller?
If you click the name of the controller on the left, a window opens at the bottom. Lower right on that, do you have "enable input monitoring" selected?
Under "options" extreme left at the bottom, do you have "run audio engine while stopped" enabled ?
